NATIONAL DOG DAY – Let’s Get Out There and ‘Safely’ Celebrate!

Subject(s): Lifestyle

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, perhaps your grand designs for a summer vacation were not realized. Well, we have an excellent idea for you, your neighbors, and friends to end this month with a happy and safe gathering.

Toward the end of this month (the 26th to be exact) is International Dog Day.  It is a day set aside to honor all dogs and to bring awareness to the plight of dogs who do not have a home.

We at D.O.G. suggest that you and your fellow dog parents make a day of it – a safe day mind you.  Plan a neighborhood park date or beach-friendly afternoon for a get-together. Of course, we still need to be following the guidelines of wearing masks and social distancing, but it would be an opportunity for your pets to get together with their friends and enjoy a day out and rejoice in who they are – our best friends!

If you want to learn more about this holiday or ideas about how to commemorate the day, we suggest you head over to the National Dog Day website https://www.nationaldogday.com/.

All of us at D.O.G. wish you and your four-legged family members a beautiful end to this, not so usual summer season.
